Twice we had set out to explore this small Black Forest village, and both times we wound up taking different paths. Last Saturday we determined not to get sidetracked.
We were successful in that we made it to Britzingen, but we didn’t explore the village. My wife decided that we had plenty of time, so we could push on to the next village. And the one after that. By which point it was getting dark, and it was starting to rain, so we hopped a bus back to where we are staying.
I snapped some shots on the trail as we headed to Britzingen. It looked and felt so much like we were walking on an Autumn day in Ottawa’s urban forest. Except for all the climbing of course.
