When I leave my apartment for my daily walk there are so many options, but the two main ones are vineyard, or forest. If I have lots of time I walk in both.

It was a grey day when I walked in the Black Forest this week. Lots of clouds, no sunshine – but lots of color also.

At this time of year in Canada the leaves have fallen from the trees and the occasional flurries are giving promise of the winter to come. In Sulzburg the fall colors are finally noticeable.

Today a couple of pictures I took on my forest walk on Thursday. With the US election coming up this week, I figure we can all use a touch of beauty, something to enjoy if the world around us starts to get ugly.
