By the time we got to Freiburg on Saturday the snow had turned to a misty rain. It was a gray day but not unpleasant. We got damp, but not really wet. I had an umbrella with me, but never bothered to open it.
We chose the #4 tram to wander the city, and hopped off when the stop announcement mentioned the University of Freiburg’s botanical gardens. It seemed like there might be some beauty involved.
We’ll go back on a sunny spring or summer day when there is more in bloom and the greenhouses are open. Still, we enjoyed what we saw – I hope you do too.
