Lethargy

Is it because it is Monday? Or because the fall colors and frost advisory remind me that winter is coming?

It isn’t that I dislike winter – but I am not ready for it. On Sunday morning, with the temperature two degrees Celsius, I still went out in shorts to do an errand.

Is it because I am battling a cold, so I don’t feel completely like myself? Is it the stress of the past week, of which there has been much more than usual? (It wasn’t really bad stress, but stress is still stress.)

Is the political situation getting to me? Or is it the economy? Or some combination of the two?

Perhaps it is the realization that I won’t get to see the Beatles in concert. I know, that should have sunk in decades ago, but some things take a while to sink in. And that can’t be it – AI will soon give us new Beatle recordings, whether we want them or not. Maybe even a robotic tour.

Whatever it is, I feel lethargic today. The post I’d planned will make its appearance tomorrow.

That is assuming my motivation returns. Which it always does.

I really think this cold is to blame.
