Some people sleep in when they are on vacation. Not me.

I have always been an early riser. That made m a natural for morning radio – I was awake already at the early hour required.

it has been 20 years since I did morning radio, but I am still awake before five most mornings. Occasionally I can fall back asleep, but usually I give up and start my day.

Which means that on my recent vacation in Maine I was up before sunrise every day. Most days not only was I awake, I was already on the beach. There is something special about watching the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean.
