There’s a small stream, the Sulzbach, that runs through Sulzburg, coming out of the Black Forest on its way to the next town. Most of the time I don’t even think about it, though I walk by it daily.
I doubt if a tourist has ever made the trek just to see this stream in action. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t rate a mention in any guidebooks for the area.
Some days though, I pause and listen to the sound of the running water and drink in the surroundings. There is a peace about a stream, any stream. On a stressful day it can be soothing just to let the water speak to you.
