Went for a walk just before the New Year to see the lights of the city. The Pathway of Lights was advertised as a safe activity that could be done while observing social distancing.
It did require crossing a provincial border, something that was (it was suggested) against pandemic regulations. I don’t know if that was actually the case, but I figured there was no harm of there were no interactions with anyone in the other province.
(Constitutionally I doubt provinces have the authority to seal their borders, even in a pandemic. As it was, no-one stopped us from walking across the bridge.)
So today a photo essay of the holiday lights in the cities of Ottawa and Gatineau.
