Sunrise Over Saco Bay

IMG_0210Vacation. It’s a magical word.

A time for rest and relaxation (for the most part), for re-connection with God and man. In my case, a trip to the Atlantic Ocean in Maine on the American East Coast. For me this is one of the few places where I can place the cares of the world on the back burner. Don’t we all need someplace like that?

There were the odd moment when I was relaxing that an idea would come to me, something I wanted to share with you. Those will be popping up in the next couple of weeks. There’s some travel stories, some political commentary and maybe some music to share. I’m looking forward to it.

I woke up early Tuesday morning, looked at the clock and decided to check out the sunrise rather than go back to sleep. I took some pictures and thought that sharing some of them was appropriate to announce that I am back.

  1. I woke up early most mornings of the vacation and was on the beach to take in the sunrise almost every day. Didn’t take pictures each time, but may share another sunrise in a week or so.

  2. Great post 🙂

  3. It’s an absolutely magical time of the day isn’t it? I love the sunrise as it’s so quiet with so few people around. Feels like you have the dawn of a new day all to yourself.
