I borrowed this from a friend’s Facebook page. I found it amusing, though not accurate. It does though express the Canadian mood.

There are 15 locks on the St. Lawrence Seaway. Together they allow commercial ships from the Atlantic Ocean to travel as far west as Thunder Bay. It is a much more efficient/cheaper way that shipping by truck or rail.

Thirteen of the 15 locks are in Canadian waters. Which in theory means Canada controls the Seaway. Except that you need to use the two American locks as well if you are trying to get anywhere. It is an integrated system, as so much is between Canada and the US. A pity no-one can convince Donald Trump of that.

Canadians are fed up with Donald Trump. I understand many Americans are too, but from a Canadian perspective it appears Americans are unwilling to deal with the problem they created.

Congress, the courts, the military, the civil service and business have (from our northern perspective) been complicit in his actions. It is being left up to other countries to clean up the mess the American voter created.

The sign is inaccurate, the sentiment is real. How long other countries will be willing to interact with the USA before cutting it off from civilized society is an interesting question.

But it is nothing to smile about.
