Warm spring, almost summerlike weather has my mind wandering. It will be brought back into focus on Wednesday when temperatures are expected to dip below freezing.
The early morning walks along Old Orchard Beach are one of my favorite summer rituals. At 6 a.m. there are very few people on the beach. At low tide you can walk for miles, listening to the interplay of sounds as the waves roll in and the various sea birds hunt for food in the sand.
There’s something special about the lighting before the sun is fully up, especially when there are a few clouds in the sky, as there were on this August morning last year. In another four hours the beach will be full of people, but most vacationers don’t get up this early and miss the beauty of God’s creation at this hour.
May your Monday be a peaceful one.
Lovely capture. We give thanks for every gift.
