Two weeks after Hurricane Fiona swept through, electric power has not been restored in some parts of Atlantic Canada.
In my hometown of Ottawa, a derecho storm in May saw power out for a similar period for some people. In my part of town it was only a little more than two days, but repairs took a long time in some parts of the city.
Climate change experts tell us such weather interruptions will increase in years to come. Nothing we can do to stop that, at least in the short term.
So explain to me again why you think I should buy an electric vehicle.
