You think you will always remember. But you don’t.
I took this photo in the summer of 2009. Summer vacation in Germany. Exactly where? I haven’t a clue.
I know it is within a couple of hours of Heidelberg, because the photos before and after include members of my wife’s family from that area. I remember they took us to a few local villages. But I didn’t think to snap any street or yown signs. I was confident that I would remember.
At the time my wife was interested in the playgrounds we came across in Germany. As a school principal she found them much more creative than the ones in Canada. For some readon though, I didn’t take pictures of the entire playground, only of this insect structure.
In the ensuing years I think I have become better at making sure I have taken some identifying photos of the places I visit. Obviously relying on memory isn’t enough, though at least this time I know the country.
Do you have the same problem?
