My wife says these notices are most unusual – they display a sense of humor. That’s not something Germans are known for.

I gather there have been problems in the neighborhood with people not picking up after their dogs. Well, maybe not in the neighborhood but on this particular street.

The message reads: Your dog is ashamed. He cannot clear his piles himself. So please take it with you, we don’t want it. Surprisingly, there is no mention of the poop and scoop laws.

Somehow I doubt the dogs are really ashamed. Their owners probably aren’t either.

However, it could be worse. There’s a horse that uses that same street on a regular basis.
