I’m not quite sure exactly where we were. On the way home from church yesterday my wife said “Why don’t we go for a walk.” So we pulled off the road, got out of the car and walked.
If you really need to know where we were, we had left Mullheim and had not yet made it to Zunzingen, though when we left the vineyards (by a different route) we found ourselves in Dattingen. I’m sure you can pinpoint the place on Google Earth.
We moved from vineyard to orchard (apple I think but it is tough to tell at this time of year) and at one point the path dipped below field level. That’s when I took these pictures. I’m not the only one who finds these roots and earth combinations interesting: I could hear, and then see dozens of wasps which had made their nests in the formations. I decided not to get too close to get the wasps in full view – getting stung is not my idea of pleasure.
