I was in Toronto recently and spent a couple of hours walking up and down Danforth Avenue to stretch my legs after the five hour drive.
The street is known for its restaurants, many different ethnicities being represented in a few blocks. There is a large Greek section, but I also spotted various Chinese offerings, Ethiopian, West African, Italian, Turkish, Lebanese, German and I have forgotten what else. I really wasn’t there for the food, but more for the used bookstores and record shops in the area. (For the record I have enough books and enough music, at least so my wife tells me, so while I saw lots I could have purchased, I refrained.
As I walked though I noticed the different houses of worship along the street. I snapped a few pictures to share with you. It got dark and I didn’t take photos of all the religious institutions, but you get the idea.
