When the water main burst the truck was not in the hole. It wasn’t even on site.
I’m not sure I have much confidence in the City of Ottawa’s repair crews when practically the first thing they do is get their truck stuck in a hole.
That’s probably why the repair has taken longer than the first estimate. After more than twelve hours work on Tuesday (14 city vehicles. at least 20 workers) they were back at it at 5 a.m. today. A little noisy for us neighbors, but at least at some point overnight they turned the water back on.
