Being neither a tea nor a coffee drinker I have no idea as to the accuracy of this statement. However, it seems true, given what I have observed in others. And probably double that on a Monday morning.
If Monday has taken you by surprise this week, you have only yourself to blame. You did have seven days warning.
Most people I know dislike Mondays. That is because for them it is the first day of a new work week – and they resent not having the freedom of a weekend. I understand that, but perhaps they are looking at it through the wrong lens.
Monday (and the rest of your work week) doesn’t take you away from weekend fun. They make the weekend fun possible.
If all you had was leisure, you wouldn’t realize how valuable it is. And if you didn’t work, you wouldn’t have the cash to do what you want during your leisure time. (If your job doesn’t pay you enough for the lifestyle you want, that is a separate issue.)
Work serves a purpose, even if you don’t like the specific job you are doing. It provides you with money to support your lifestyle. So why are you griping that it is Monday morning?
Unless, of course, you switched from coffee to green tea. Then, even though I don’t drink the stuff, I would understand.
