Ottawa’s first major snowfall of the season was Saturday night, and when I went out to shovel on Sunday morning my neighbors had already been hard at work. Do you see what I see?
I was convinced that this was an old-style steam railroad engine. After all, we live across the street from a light-rail station, and train travel has been on everyone’s mind recently. One of the parents working on the project is an urban planner, so it made sense to me.
My wife, when I showed her the picture I took said “it’s a snow fort.” I could see that too.
We were, however, both wrong. According to the two-year-old in charge of the concept of not the actual construction (she helped, but it was much bigger than she is), it is a castle. She was able to point out which tower was for the princess and which for the prince. Now that I think of it, maybe it was one of the older kids who pointed that out.
What do you see?
