On vacation in Maine for the first time since 2019, I saw a few things that were new to me. I took today’s two picturesof something new that impressed me.

There were new buildings of course, and old ones gone. Prices had gone up. COVID has affected society, with some businesses closed – but some new ones had opened too.

Then there were what you see in today’s pictures. I took closeups, and I was wondering if you know what they are. I doubt it – but you can leave your guess in the comments box.

Some hints for you: It isn’t artwork. It replaced something made of wood. Both serve the same function. And both pictures were taken at the seaside, a block apart.
