I took this picture a few years ago when we were on vacation in Maine. I forget exactly in which community the sign was posted, but I think it was Portland.

Most places I have visited have rules of conduct of some sort or another. This is the only place though that I have seen a list aimed specifically at prohibiting certain behaviour by police.  I wouldn’t have thought any of those activities was a problem. Police officers have better things to do with their time than skateboard, rollerblade, solicit or loiter.And what is wrong with police using bicycles?

You don’t suppose I have misinterpreted the sign do you?  It seems pretty straightforward to me.
