I’ve gotten used to seeing workmen in trees in my neighbourhood. Like the rest of Ottawa we have been hit hard by the Emerald Ash Borer. Thirty percent of the trees have been affected. Many have been removed and more are slated to come down.  Last month our house was hit by a large branch from a rotted tree.

So I figured the guys in the trees were just trimming branches prior to the whole thing being chopped down. It was only at night that what they really had been hired to do became apparent. They were putting up Christmas lights!

I wonder if the angel that appeared to the shepherds looked as large?
