Just a few pictures to close off our tour of Istanbul by night. After spending three days in the city I couldn’t decide if I liked it more than Rome – and if not then it is a close second when it comes to favourite European cities!
This stone pillar is all that remains from a fourth century Byzantine triumphal arch from which road distances to all corners of the empire were measured.
This building contains the tomb of Sultan Mehmed II. conqueror of Constantinople (Istanbul).
These juice bars were everywhere. Not being a pomegranate fan I didn’t try it.
