With the latest downsizing, I have managed to cull my collection so that now it only fills three bookcases. With some shelves having two rows of books. And books piled on top of the bookcases.
I’ve gotten rid of hundreds of books this year. Actually, probably more than a thousand. I miss them.
But there comes a time when you have to face reality. About half the ones I got rid of I probably wouldn’t have read again. The others, I might have, but the ones I kept were a higher priority.
In an ideal world you would be able to magically shrink books until you were ready to read them (again). That might solve my storage issues.
Until then, the public library will have to do. I still miss my books though.
Anyone else feel the same way?
