Take A Deep Breath

Win lose or draw, life goes on, I didn’t take many pictures of the fall colors this year, but it seems much more peaceful today to share a couple, rather than discussing US election results.

The forest trails seem so peaceful. Here no-one cares about elections.

Nice pictures Lorne. The trees and the fall colours are especially pretty in Ontario and east, especially the maples.

I have a question on a different topic. The media I follow (CBC, Washington Post, Economist mostly) all had the election down as extremely close, with Harris even pulling ahead the last week. None of this turned out to be true, so I guess I am being misinformed by inadvertently following press with a liberal bias. So, assuming a person wants either an unbiased source, or a balance of biased sources pulling in both directions, what do you see as an answer?

You are more a political person than me. Is it possible to get an accurate view pre, as opposed to post? Or is that just misplaced idealism?

I’m planning on addressing media coverage of the election shortly. It wasn’t that the media were wrong, but more that they failed in their analysis. I think the polls were as accurate as they could be, but the pollsters didn’t understand the election, which meant the numbers were inaccurate.
