Seven Sisters – I

If you go to East Sussex, England, these chalk cliffs are considered a “must see.” I’d never heard of them before this year, but I’m usually happy to go with the flow.

I’ve never been a fan of pebble beaches – sand is more my thing. Still, standing at the bottom of the Seven Sisters and looking up at the cliffs was kind of fun.

I know they are chalk, just like the more famous white cliffs of Dover. I didn’t think to try to break a piece off and see if it would write on a blackboard. If everyone did that the cliffs would soon disappear, so it was probably good that the thought didn’t occur to me.

I did think that the waves in the English Channel looked just right for body surfing. They also looked a little cold. Maybe next time.
