I don’t remember when I first came across this one. Which may be because it was sitting in my draft posts file for the past five years.

I have heard this sentiment expressed in several different ways over the years. I sympathize, but to me it seems incomplete. When I make a mistake, I hope I don’t allow my ego to prevent me from seeing that it is a mistake.

I also hope when that happens that I will be smart enough not to just let go, but instead to fix whatever the problem may be. We live in a world where it is so easy to just give up. Maybe if there was more perseverence there would be fewer mistakes.
