Well Preserved

My mother took me down to the parking garage of her residence to show me this car, so I snapped a couple of pictures. The owner is 97 and still driving.

I am not a car guy. To me they are a box with four wheels to get safely from one place to another. But as a male I have to at least pretend so I told my mother that the car was a mid-1920s Ford Model T. It says Ford on the front, so that was easy to figure out. Looking online for Model Ts, I would say now I was right – looks like a 1926 to me. If I am wrong, please correct me, you won’t hurt my pride.

The owner doesn’t drive it in winter. I’m wondering if he will take me for a spin around the block next summer.

That is if I can get up the courage to trust my life to someone who will at that point be still driving at 98.

So you know the person’s birthday is between now and this summer! 98 is the new 88!
